Calypso

The Calypso is a 72-foot (LOA) Stephens motor yacht. This aluminum
hull vessel was built in Stockton, California in 1973 for Jack Wrather,
producer of the radio and television show "The Lone Ranger",
who christened it the "Lone Ranger IV."
The Calypso was acquired in 2000 from the second owner who bought
it from the Wrather estate in 1986. Following an extensive refit
completed by Perfect Yachts of St. Augustine Marine, including US
Coast Guard certification, the Calypso sailed to her summer port
at Brewers Yacht Haven in Stamford, CT. She will return south in
late fall for a winter season in southeast Florida.
The Connecticut crewed yacht charter is tastefully decorated in
a Hemingway motif, utilizing rich fabrics and leather that accent
the varnished mahogany paneling and teak decks. Calypso is certified
for 49 passengers and 3 crew, but is advertised at 45 passengers
and 5 crew to insure a high level of personal service and safety.
The owner, Jimmy Senterfitt, a seasoned veteran of 25 years aboard
power and sailing yachts, captains the Calypso beside his, capable
and charming crew members.
